This is my first blog post and my first time using Astro.

The Tech
I am using Astro for the static rendering so that I can publish it to GitLab Pages. I am using the Astro-Paper theme with some tweaks that the author listed to add reading time. The posts are written in Markdown and then GitLab CI is building and deploying it.
Going forwards I am going to be adding the ability for the pages domain and the DNS to be managed via Terraform as I have done in the past.
What to expect
I am currently using Spring and Spring-Boot at work with a bit push for automation, so expect to see posts on those topics. I am learning to use Terraform, Ansible and K8s, so there will be posts on how I am using those at home and playing with them to speed thing up or simplify them (Terraforming my CloudFlare domain management was wonderful when I needed to change the IP address).
